After a couple of months of testing, children provided feedback on their favorite features and whether or not they enjoyed brushing their teeth, while parents checked on how well they brushed and shared any comments made by their dentists regarding the children’s plaque and overall oral health. Caregivers were instructed to follow manufacturer instructions to set up the toothbrushes, required apps, and batteries and then allow kids to brush their teeth independently. ![]() We then narrowed our list to the top 16 electric toothbrushes for kids and put them to the test in the homes of 12 families in our team who evaluated their quality, ease of use, effectiveness, functionality, and value. To select the best electric toothbrushes for kids, we talked to experts and parents to find out what to look for and what features work best to promote kids’ oral hygiene.
